Geosyntec Consultants is a member of the CAT Alliance.
CAT is a joint venture among three leading consultancies - COWI (centered on Scandinavia), Geosyntec Consultants (centered on the United States) and Tauw (centered on Western Europe) – to provide environmental due diligence (EDD) services supporting large industrial, commercial property, and financial clients.
CAT companies provide their multinational clients with local, highly trained environmental professionals who understand country-specific regulations in context with international expectations and corporate requirements throughout the world. The joint venture enables partner firms to collaboratively deliver environmental consulting services in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas.
Collectively, the CAT companies and their partners have more than 13,000 staff and offices in 50 countries. As a member of the alliance, Geosyntec practitioners provides CAT members with environmental consulting services for projects within the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Malaysia, and partner with CAT firms to provide similar services in other regions of the globe where Geosyntec does not have a presence. Projects will typically consist of the provision of EDD services but also might include site investigations, transactional consulting, regulatory compliance services, and environmental remediation.
"Geosyntec practitioners have worked closely with the CAT Alliance for several years and have been impressed with their ability to rapidly and efficiently deliver EDD services throughout much of the world," Geosyntec Principal Neal Durant said. "Within CAT, Geosyntec expands its capabilities in the global EDD market and engages new clients on their challenges related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, underwriting, internal environmental health and safety audits, and litigation support."
